Every learner works in a dedicated Microsoft 365 tenant paired with an SBC that has valid public certificates. You configure Direct Routing exactly as you would for a customer.

FAQ

Common questions

Is MS-720 still available?

No. MS-720 and the Teams Voice Engineer Expert certification have been retired. MS-721 is now Microsoft's voice-focused Teams certification.

Do the labs use a real Microsoft 365 tenant?

Yes. Teams labs use a dedicated, time-boxed Microsoft 365 tenant with Teams Phone licensing and a real SBC with public certificates.

What is a Survivable Branch Appliance?

An SBA runs on a supported SBC at a branch and lets Teams users there keep making and receiving PSTN calls if the connection to Microsoft 365 is lost. Check Microsoft's documentation for currently supported SBCs and clients.

I'm a Cisco engineer. Where should I start?

Most Cisco engineers can go straight to MS-721 Teams Phone, then Direct Routing. Our CUBE for Teams Direct Routing course connects the two worlds.
